Slow Accordion is a brand new, improvised, instrumental quartet album by acclaimed guitarist Oliver Wood of The Wood Brothers, far out, grooving bass player, Ted Pecchio (Colonel Bruce Hampton, Doyle Bramhall), magically versatile drummer Mark Raudabaugh (Sierra Hull,  Donna the Buffalo, Jim Lauderdale) and Matt Glassmeyer of New York and Nashville improvised scenes on his own strange Wurlitzer and percussion (Meadownoise, Billy Martin, Aqua Teen Hunger Force.) Their first album is out now on Royal Potato Family Records.

Each track, pushed to the tape with spontaneity and intention, pits energy and tone against deference and space -- so far a dead-heat.

What is present on this record is an intoxicating, purely improvised conversation between four seasoned players operating on pure instinct.
